Hi, and welcome to Mama Rooted.
I am Meghna, mom to a bubbly, active, talkative 2 year old baby girl. As a first time mom, I spent quite a lot of time researching every single thing throughout my pregnancy. Even then, when postpartum hit, it was nothing like I had ever imagined. I was drowning in conflicting advice and views. So Mama Rooted is everything that I wished existed back then. A complete support, a complete resource for every single thing that might hit you postpartum from someone who has been through it all.
I grew up in an Indian family where postpartum recovery was taken seriously. That tradition shaped how I think about the fourth trimester, and it’s a big part of why I write about recovery and wellness the way I do.
Mama Rooted is where I share what genuinely helped us – the baby gear worth buying, the things you can skip, honest postpartum recovery, sleep, breastfeeding and travelling with little one. No fluff, no overwhelming list of things you don’t need. If you are a new or expecting mum trying to figure it all out, I hope something here makes your day a little easier.
Lots of love
– Meghna
